I’m sorry for not checking in and blogging. My Joey was big on the blog platform and was always encouraging me to partake. I always promised that I would do better and now I have to start.
We have been so busy working on everything. Literally. Sometimes I feel like I am a million people. But, every now and then I stop and take a deep breath to see where we are and to make sure I am staying true to what Joey and I started. Raising awareness about, and being a comfort and support to those that would face the challenges of childhood blood disorders and cancers. As well as raising awareness about the bone marrow donor transplantation process.
I am so humbled and joyful that God has continued to give me the strength to press forward with Faith Hope and Love Jesus. I still miss my Joey terribly, although, I feel his essence all around me, encouraging me to reach out and comfort others. I know that he helped me find my purpose in life because of his life. I thank God for myjoey.
It has not been easy. I had expectations that once connected people would help no matter what but found that it was not always the case. I guess I am naive in that regard. I have to understand that everyone is not Marsha or Joey, that they don’t have the same passion as we do because we lived and continue to live the challenges of this path. But instead I know that our passion and life story has inspired them to be in the moments with us completely and unconditionally. Agape. I have also learned that it is okay because some people are in your life for a season. You have to make the most of every moment in every season, living it to the fullest.
I appreciate everyone that has placed a word and act of kindness in the building of Faith Hope and Love Jesus. For being our face, smile, hands and hugs. I also remember their gifts of compassion, empathy and commitment. We would not be here without them. I do miss them when I look or reach out for them and they are not there. But I know that when they come back to us, we will be here waiting with open arms for their support and encouragement and together we will continue to share love for those we serve.
Well, I will see you all next time. I promise it won’t be long, until then…
